Christmas Day

The kids got blow up sleds for Christmas.

They went sledding in the afternoon.

Luckily the temperature wasn't too cold.

I have not blogged much recently.

Sorry about that, but the craft show thing

was kind of a bummer.

Kind of took the wind out of my sails for a while.

Time to move on.

I am considering opening an Etsy shop.

Does anyone have any thoughts on that?

In my quest to find something to sew that I could sell,

my friend suggested embroidered quilt label.

I could do custom orders.

I thought that was a good idea so I have been

working on designing some.

So far, this is what I have come up with.

What do you think?

Am I on the right track?

I have a few more to embroider and will post pictures of them when

I have them done.

Again, the photography needs some improvement.

When I see them as photos I can see better where they need some tweaking.

Is that how you spell it?

I will continue to work on this idea.

Does anyone have any more ideas?

Yesterday was Jessicas birthday

She is 9 now.

I took these early in the morning before school.

She was so excited it was her birthday

and loved the little red plaid skirt.

Craft show

Last Saturdays craft show.

I have procrastinated about loading these pictures,

but, what the heck.

This is my table.

My Sewing Room

This is about as cleaned up as it ever gets

so I thought I could give you a peek at it.

It is not very big.

I wish I had about double this size.

I love this machine.

I would like to redo this room.

It needs better lighting.

It needs a paint job.

The window needs something.

I would like a better desk, maybe L shaped.

Then I wouldn't have to jump up after every time I sew a seam to

finish it on the serger.

But for now, this is working.

Using fabric in my stash.

I wanted to make another skirt with tulle.

I found this in my stash.

Thought this red plaid would look Christmasy.

Added some lace around the ruffle.

I will be taking the skirts to the craft market on Saturday.

See what kind of response I get.

Did you think I could only make pjs?

I did something different today.

Had an idea for a skirt.

I added some tulle to the ruffle so it would stand out and twirl better.

I still need to tweek it a bit, but you get the idea.

What do you think?

I serged a rolled edge on the bottom of the ruffle.

I think it added a nice accent to it.

Also, more flannel.

I have a craft show again on Saturday

and got worried, what if I sell out.

I still need to make pjs for all the grands.

before the Ladies Night Out.

Then I need to get everything packed up and ready to go.
