Roman blinds

This is my first attempt at making roman blinds.
It took me a while to get the courage to post these pictures.
They really are not difficult to make.
Maybe I could use a little more practice.
I found several sites that gave directions on how to do them.
After I had finished these, I found another site
that had better directions.
Go figure!!

Curtains and thrifting

I finally got the other panel done.
The window is all frosted up.
The current temperature outside is -25!!
Not my favorite temperature.
I still have to do something about the window
over the sink.
It could use a blind because it gets very sunny
on that side in the summer time.
I am thinking I will try making a roman blind.
We'll see how that goes.

Thrifting.
Not something I usually do.
But we do have a very nice thrifts shop in town.
It is sponsored by Mennonite Central Committee.
I found this Pyrex bowel with the cute mushroom design.
I couldn't resist it.

The other thing I found was this pattern.
I thought the outfits where cute, but I really
liked the picture of the little girls.
