Todays project

Did something different today.
This was a ufo that came with me when we moved.
It has been sitting on my table for a while now.
There is still another one to do.
My neighbor came over and saw it and loved it
and bought it for a gift for her daughter.
I am glad she liked it.
I think it looks much cuter in real life than this picture.
But then I have lamented about my photography skills before!
(sigh)

Jungle animal pj's

Just finished these jungle animal print pj's.
The t-shirt is beige, kind of blends in with my beige sofa!

Here is a more close up shot of the fabric.

It is getting a little tiresome sewing the same thing repeatedly.
I only have 2 more pair to sew and then do the appliques
on the t-shirts.
I ran out of t-shirts and had to order some more,
so I am waiting on that order now.
I hope it arrives this week yet.
Next I am going to work on some journal covers
and pincushions.

Vintage fabric

Isn't this cute?
I found 1 yard of this in my stash.
I have had it so long it has turned into vintage fabric.
I got it when fabric was still sold by the yard and not metres!!
I think I was saving it.
But what for?

So I made it into aprons.
I was able to get 2 aprons out of the 1 yard of fabric.
Trimmed with brown/beige dot fabric.

First Snow

It seems that winter has arrived!!
Ugh!!

Early morning pic.
The white spots on the pic is snow.

 Later this afternoon.
Still snow.  It's pretty chilly out.
The roads are very icy.

The kids and Mickey playing in the snow.
They are lovin it.
Me --- not so much!

I am still sewing pj's and things.
Hope to get some pics posted soon.
I am doing a ladies night out on Nov. 10th.
So am busy getting ready for that.
It should be good.

Wedding gift

These hand embroidered t-towels where a wedding gift
for my mom in 1944.
My grandmother made thenm from flour sacks.
The hem is beautifully done in a hemstitch but
the picture did not show it well so
I didn't post it.
I love these.

It is fall around here.
The kids raked up a pile of leaves.

 I made another dog pillow.
I didn't post anymore pj pants.
Thought it might be getting borring.
